Aries
For the Week of March 29, 2009
Is your life all coming together? Or is it all coming apart?
That’s the real question, isn’t it. There’s so much junk that I could quote here – it’s always darkest before dawn, etc. etc. etc. But I’ll refrain, because that’s not even the most annoying part about what’s going on right now – even though these transits are all about you, they may have manifested as an interest in someone else, someone who maybe seems like the key to getting your life together.
You don’t need my lectures about how another person isn’t the answer – and besides that, sometimes another person actually IS the answer, just not usually in the way that we think. Anyway, nothing I can say is going to dissuade you from confessing your love (possibly to a friend, but more likely to someone you feel friendly towards) this week. You’re dying to take the initiative here – after all, you are an Aries – so you know what? Go ahead. Do it. If nothing else, you’ll have something fun to talk about at the end of the week with your friends. And more than that: no matter what the outcome of your confession is, it’ll help you understand your life right now as it relates to the overall pattern of your life. What could be more satisfying than that?
For the Week of March 22, 2009
You know my favorite thing about Hitchcock? The way that dread and fear just kind of pile on top of each other – there’s usually not a Sixth Sense moment where you jump out of your skin, it’s more this – creepy, jittery feeling that builds and builds for 2+ hours.
I like it in Hitchcock, I hate it in real life. You’ll sympathize this week – you’re not a nervous creature by nature, but something’s really digging into you from somewhere in your subconscious. Don’t suppress or ignore it, but realize that it’s almost completely a manufactured, Hollywood-type fear.
It’s a great week for most things: at work, you’ll be able to find concrete steps to put your big ideas into action, turning your dreams to reality step-by-step (which can be a challenge for you, Aries – you tend to jump in first, ask questions later – appreciate that, this week!) Towards the end of the week, you’ll have a great time socializing, and that work might just pay off in some kind of financial reward. Even if it doesn’t, you won’t particularly care – you’ll be having too good a time.
So take a deep breath, go re-watch Rear Window, and remember the great thing about 1950s Hollywood: everything always works out in the end.
For the Week of March 15, 2009
You know the end of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? Where they’re all cooped up, they’re low on ammo, and yet there’s no choice but to go out fighting?
Welcome to the past few months for you, Aries. It’s been an intense few weeks of evaluation for you. Tapping into your subconscious fears and desires (not to get too new-agey on you), whether you want to or not.
Well, now it’s time to take all that stuff – all of the stuff you’ve figured out about the past year, everything you’ve learned about yourself – and apply it to real life. You may feel more withdrawn, even a little frustrated at first, but this’ll soon lead you to activity (finally!), mostly centered around yourself. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as long as you embrace it without completely ignoring the rest of the world (which will be harder as Mars moves into your twelfth house later this week).
To go back to Butch Cassidy: come out of that trap into the world more powerful for all the shit you’ve had to deal with in the past few weeks. Or to mix that with a more positive metaphor: the cake’s done. Time to take it out of the oven.
