Scorpio

For the Week of March 29, 2009

You’re a force to be reckoned with at the quietest of times, Scorpio.  And at the loudest?  Well, watch out.  You’ll be in the mood to tell everyone what you’re up to this week at work – down to the nitty gritty details of your sales tax returns (pssst: no one cares.  Sorry).  You might also feel the need to spill the details of anything that’s going on with you, health-wise – that’s cool.  You’re not really one to overshare, just think for one – small – second – before you start chatting.  That stuff can get embarrassing later on.

Put all of that into context, though – health, work, the kind of boring things we have to deal with every day that will be so consuming to you this week – and all of a sudden things get interesting.  Always get sick after pulling all-nighters to beat that deadline?  You’ll figure it out now.  Bad habit of making your whole office sick by insisting on coming in when you’ve got a cold?  You’ll realize it this week (here’s another hint – everyone hates that guy.  Go home).

There’s the potential to be annoying this week, Scorpio, and we know you don’t want that.  So just be careful, take your Vitamin C, and spend the weekend relaxing – you’ll have earned it.

For the Week of March 22, 2009

Quit worrying so much!  You may not show it, Scorpio, but you can worry about ANYTHING.  Did I do this right?  Did I hurt that person I care about?  That’s all well and good, in its place, but this week is going to start off with you taking that to a bizarre extreme – you’re going to be worried about the very things that normally give you a lot of pleasure.

Love affairs, children, animals (I know, that combination always makes me giggle too – it’s that sick Scorpio sense of humor) – these are the great parts about the fifth house.  This week, issues may arise suddenly in one of those areas.  Deal with it, but don’t let it wound you, whatever the issue may be.

Luckily, things will be going excellently in other areas of your life, particularly as the week goes on.  Friday may bring accolades at work, but will almost certainly bring a general sense of well-being and pride in your accomplishments.  For once, you’ll feel satisfied doing what you’re doing, and having done it well (because God knows that one thing that’s not so well-known about Scorpios is that they can be almost as picky as Virgo and just as hard on themselves).

Try to relax.  Easier said than done, I know.  Tensions will rise, but they’ll fade away again, and you’ll be back to enjoying life’s pleasures again – in your own, incredibly dark and intense, way.

For the Week of March 15, 2009

Well, you’re sure caught between a rock and a hard place, aren’t you?  Constantly asked to submit your ego in the name of duty, authority, service -  bet you’ve been feeling a little bit like Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men, always upholding the standards of some larger institution.  At the same time, you’ve been feeling incapable of performing any work that you don’t want to do.  Obviously, nobody wants to do work they don’t want to do, but there are times when we’re able to do it anyway – this is not one of those times.

The solution here is to channel all of the playful energy you’ve been storing up (and I know it’s been there, even though you may have hidden it deep down in the corners of your mind) and apply it to these tasks.  Make things into a game for yourself, play around with your co-workers.  It’s not an aggressive time for you, so that should take some of the pressure off.

Avoid the temptation to play practical jokes, though.  They’ll almost definitely misfire right now.
