Top Myths About Gemini
Blah blah blah. Gemini gets the shallow end of the astrology stick. Twins, silver-tongued, chatty, the end. No wonder so many people get Geminis wrong! Let’s do what a Gemini would and talk it over:
Myth: A Gemini will cheat on you
Reality: I have known several Geminis in incredibly long-term, serious relationships (just that phrase may have given some of my Gemini readers the cold sweats - hang on -- ). Now, this doesn’t mean that it’s not hard for them – after all, they tend to find so many people interesting that it’s hard to rein attraction in to just one person – but these are smart people. They are more than able to weigh the pros and cons of cheating, and most of them will come out on the right side of the equation.
Myth: Geminis are two-faced
Reality: Obviously, this has to come from the image of the twins. I have found, over and over again, that Geminis are actually incredibly upfront. They like to discuss everything, that’s all – if they gossip about you behind your back, it’s not because they secretly despise you. It’s because they’re secretly interested in you! In a weird way, this is Gemini’s version of a compliment.
Myth: Geminis could sell ice cubes to Eskimos
Reality: Geminis do have that famous silver tongue. They can chat up a storm. But the reason that Gemini loves to talk so much is that they find communication so interesting – not necessarily words, or convincing people to do things. If you know a quiet Gemini (these are a rare species, but not impossible to come by), take a closer look at them – I bet you anything that their non-verbal communication’s off the charts, or that they’re voracious readers, or writers. One way or another, that Gemini energy will out.
Myth: Geminis are air-heads
Reality: Anything but. Again, this comes down to the high level of interest Gemini has for just about anything and everything, anyone and everyone, that crosses their path. They know that they’re supposed to meet you at eight – but the lecture they accidentally walked in on was so fascinating. They know that you were talking, but did you see what that woman over there was wearing on her head? These people can open up whole new worlds to you, if you’re not too oversensitive to appreciate it!
